Do you live in an apartment where there is no dedicated home office? Well, same here! I don't either. But I managed to create a workspace in a 6.5 ft by 3 ft space.
Here is what I did! First, the basics: desk, drawer and chair.
So I knew from the very beginning that my computers were going to take up a lot of space so I did not want to get dark colored furniture because it would only make the space feel smaller. I went with an all-white/natural wood theme.
I chose this desk not only because it looks AMAZING, but this is one of the few desks that is actually longer. This is perfect for people working from home with multiple monitors! The drawers are definitely a bonus.

I was hesitant to get this chair because it looked uncomfortable but honestly, I love it! You know how most of us (ladies) most of the time (or always) choose design over comfort? Well obviously I chose design because I mean, can't you just see that beauty!? But I'm just glad that this chair does not compromise comfort at all.

I got a lot of questions about this drawer and I completely get why. It looks pretty and and it has a lot of drawers! I spent a lot of time looking for this type of drawer elsewhere only to find myself getting it from IKEA.

Okay now on to the decor and accessories!
First off, I really love this Desktop Computer Whiteboard! If you are like me who uses a notepad to remind yourself with your day to day tasks, this is a must! It doesn't only look aesthetic but it also helps save the planet by not using paper.

If you're like me who spends a long time sitting down, you definitely need this foot rest! Trust me, you'll thank your feet after!

I have a laptop for work but I use the monitors to project it so I actually don't need it to be open, but I would have to keep it on still. So I was looking for ways to store it under the desk or use a laptop stand under but then it took a lot of space. So I tried being resourceful and used a.. wait for it - bamboo paper towel dispenser to make it stand. I mean, look at how small of a space it's occupying. Not only that, but it also protects your laptop from being kicked by you.

This wall decor does not only scream bold abstract but it's also very simple. I love how it just fills up the blank space but didn't feel like it was crowding the wall. Also, here's a little secret, it's so easy to put this one up because the lines are not straight so you can literally put it up however you want.

Every home has an eyesore, and for me, I really wanted the electric panel to be out of sight but the drawers were not tall enough so I thought of putting some overlaying frames to cover it. I got these photo frames from IKEA (they have the cheapest photo frames!)

Then I bought lovely posters from Desenio. Because I wanted it to be overlaying, I bought 2 different sizes.

I also wanted to hide another eyesore (I swear I'm the queen of hiding things lol) so I used a larger photo frame on the left to hide the fan wires!
This time I used my own art work and had it printed out by Mpix! They actually print really good quality photos for such an affordable price.

This artwork looks abstract but it actually is a combination of 3 symbols - sun, wave and sand. Which represents my 3 homes:
Philippines - sun
California - wave
Qatar - sand
I got this beautiful oak frame from Desenio to compliment it as well.

Now on to the part that we're most excited about!! PLANTS!! So for those of you who know me, I love plants and I probably spend my weekends (or weekdays even) looking for more. I've said it again and again, but plants not only make your place more beautiful by adding that pop of color but it also helps purify the air! So of course I added plants here in my workspace.

Silverball Cactus from Little Italy Farmer's Market
I got my white pots from Amazon and World Market.

When I'm at work, I love to listen to music so I added a portable speaker in the space.

And last but not the least, the fan that makes the room cooler and purifies the air.

And here is the finished product!!

Well, there you have it. I hope this helped you envision your workspace and that this gave you some ideas on how to re-design the space where you're spending most of your day these days.
