Last October, we decided to go to Paso Robles! We've always wanted to visit here ever since I watched an episode of Instant Hotels on Netflix!
Because it was a 5 hour drive from San Diego, we decided to stop at Ventura and spend the night.
We arrived in Ventura Beach around 4pm and checked in at the Ventura Beach Marriott. We actually took Bucky with us because they are dog-friendly. It was his fist time checking in to a hotel with us - and he loved it!

After checking in, we headed to Serra Cross Park to watch the sunset. The view was amazing! After the sunset, we strolled around downtown Ventura and checked out the charming boutique shops and Mission San Buenaventura.

For dinner, we booked a reservation at Rumfish Y Vino. We had such a great experience and it's one of the reasons why I want to visit Ventura Beach again. I suggest making reservations weeks or even months ahead because they get booked up pretty quick!

We then headed back to the hotel because we wanted to wake up early the next morning so that we would have time to explore Ventura Harbor Village and grab some breakfast and ice cream for Bucky at Coastal Cone!

We also grabbed some freshly baked croissants from Le Petit Cafe And Bakery. After our light breakfast, we began our journey to Paso Robles!

On the way, we wanted to drive by Morro Rock but when we got there, it was too foggy to see the rock :(, so we just continued our drive to Paso Robles.
When we got to Paso Robles, we checked in at the Stables Inn and dropped off our luggage. This boutique hotel is beautiful. The design, details and everything in it is just very homey and stylish! I took a lot of photos while we were there, see below for yourself! After our long drive up to Paso Robles, we were famished, so we went to downtown and had our late lunch at TASTE! craft eatery. After lunch, we wanted to relax for a little bit so that we can have energy for the night.

At around 5pm, we went to Sensorio: Field of Lights by Bruce Monro and it was magical. The best time to go is right before sunset so that you actually see the lights turn on! For dinner, we bought some to-go from Jeffry's Wine Country BBQ and ate at our hotel room patio. Their BBQ ribs were amazing!!

After dinner, we opened a bottle of wine that we bought from downtown and sat around the fire pit.

Being a coffee lover, I have this thing where I need to try out local coffee from all the places that we have visited. So, the next morning, we grabbed some coffee from Spearhead Coffee. It was delish!

We made a reservation at Eberle Winery so we did some wine tasting and had some charcuterie board for brunch. I mean, who says no to cheese and wine right!? Blair was the one who took care of us and she was amazing! We ended up getting a membership from Eberle Winery and it was honestly one of the best decisions that we've made. Now we get good quality wine from Paso Robles shipped all the way to San Diego for us to enjoy!

After the wine tasting, we had lunch at Thomas Hill Organics. We proceeded to our next winery stop which was Rangeland Wines. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. It was very relaxing and peaceful.

After Rangeland, our last stop was Brecon Estates and we were blown away. The place was very whimsical. We loved our time there.

This trip was really spontaneous and short so we actually started driving back to San Diego that afternoon.
On our way back, we sang to our Pop Punk playlist and had a mini car concert. It made the drive seem really quick and it was lots of fun! We of course stopped by Jollibee for dinner!
At around 8pm, we arrived in San Diego safe and sound :)
There's way too many things to do and places to see in Paso Robles but because we were still in a pandemic, we wanted to make sure we're traveling responsibly. We purposely picked out places that are outdoor, less crowded and had reservations available to minimize the risk. We can't wait to go back here and explore more wineries!
Here is our 3 day itinerary (as usual, things don't go as planned so we obviously had to change some stuff along the way. This is just what we had planned initially!)
