Do you want to have a mini getaway in a big city like Seattle? This city surely has a lot to offer! Seattle has plenty of hidden gems, unbelievably amazing food- fresh seafood and the charming landmarks. I hope this blog will help you manage your time in the city and hunt out the best things to do in Seattle to make your trip the best it can be!
We took an afternoon flight from SAN with Southwest Air and since we had to stopover SJC, we arrived in Seattle around 6:30pm. We checked in at Seattle Marriott Waterfront Hotel, got changed and had our first dinner at Andaluca Restaurant in downtown. The restaurant is very intimate and quite small but we loved their food - I have to mention that their Paella is probably the best I've ever had. It was going to be an early morning the next day because we planned on visiting Pike Place Market!

Day 1:
Morning - Pike Place Tour by Savor Seattle (just look for the pink umbrella! One of our tour highlights was visiting First Starbucks, the World Famous Fish Market, Piroshky Piroshky and went to the disgusting but amazingly artistic Gum Wall. We then took a short drive and visited Amazon Spheres and Amazon.

Afternoon - We then went to Museum of Pop culture, Chihuly Garden and Glass and the Space Needle.

Evening - We headed back to our hotel and got ready for dinner. We had dinner at Kau Kau Bbq which was recommended by our amazing friend Thao who's also a foodie based in Seatlle! Check her out here - www.instagram.com/eatingwiththao . We went to Purple Cafe Wine + Bar and it was wonderful. We loved the food, drinks and ambiance.

Day 2:
Morning - We had to get up early to go to West Seattle Brewing Company. You probably are wondering, why a brewery early in the morning!? Well, because it was match day for Manchester United and what better way to watch the match than with the Seattle Red Army! After the match, we headed back to Seattle Aquarium and The Seattle Great Wheel (and it still looks great even with the gloomy skies and rainy weather).

Seattle Red Army!! The red flag does fly high in Seattle!
Afternoon - We visited the Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room. After, we went back to Pike Place Market and explored more. We tried Rachel's Ginger Bear and Pike Place Chowder as well!! Both are a must try!

Dinner - Because we loved Purple Wine + Bar so much that we decided to go back and this time, I also met my college friend Ayana who is also based in Seattle. We had such a great time catching up!
Day 3:
Morning - We finally met our friends Thao and Patrick at Biscuit Bean. Honestly the best biscuit sandwich I've ever tried. It was rainy (like usual) but it was nice strolling around Ballard. We were walking towards Ballard Locks but it started pouring harder so we took an Uber back to downtown Seattle.

Love this cute sign of Biscuit Bean
Afternoon - Before heading to the airport, because we had a little bit of extra time left, we did the Argosy Cruises Harbor Tour. We then had our lunch at Elliot's Oyster House and stayed a little bit at Seattle Beer Company.

The bar in Elliott's Oyster House though!

And that's it! That's how our mini vacation in Seattle went. It was short but so sweet. We loved every bit of it. Seattle has way more to offer like hiking, camping etc. but because of time and weather, we were not able to explore more. I'm pretty sure we will be back soon and this time, it will be longer and more adventurous! But I guess it will probably have to wait even longer because of the pandemic. For the meantime, stay safe and happy planning! If you do decide to visit Seattle these days, please don't forget to check country restrictions and make sure to observe COVID-19 safety guidelines.
